02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Everything that AVA does is underpinned by our mission: to facilitate the growth of strong, resilient, and proactive communities by connecting, supporting, and promoting Aberdeenshire's Third Sector. We believe that the impact of Aberdeenshire’s collective Third Sector is greater than the sum of the individual parts and that now, more than ever, is the time when the collective voice and value of the sector needs to be recognised and amplified so that our vision of a vibrant, dynamic, and impact-generating third sector for Aberdeenshire, with a powerful, purposeful, and informed collective voice can be realised. Our TSI team provide support in different forms to nearly 1,000 community-based organisations.
