What the charity exists to do
The objects of the charity are the support and encouragement of benevolent, cultural and educational objects connected to the Isle of Arran, relieving the needs of the residents or former residents of the Isle of Arran, the education of advancement in any trade or profession of deserving persons and the collection, preservation and publication of the history an forklore of the Isle of Arran

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Society are:- (1) The support and encouragement of benevolent, cultural and educational objects connected to the Island of Arran or the residents or former residents thereof. (2) Relieving the needs of the residents or former residents of the Island of Arran, or their descendants, or other persons eligible to be members of the Society. (3) The education or advancement in any trade or profession of deserving persons eligible to be members of the Society by mean of grants. (4) The collection, preservation, and publication of the history and folklore of the Island of Arran. (5) In connection with the above objects, the management of the Capital Fund of the Society and any additions thereto, and the distribution of the annual income as hereinafter mentioned, in such sums and in such manner as the Directors may determine. Donations, legacies or other sum paid or which may be paid to the Society subject to restrictions or conditions as to the disposal or application thereof, shall be held and applied in accordance with such restrictions or conditions.
