To safeguard for the benefit of the public in general and the Clan Leslie in particular items of historical interest or relics of Scotland in general and in particular the family heirlooms of the Clan Leslie including without prejudice to the foregoing generality silver, pictures, furniture, books, objects d'art, armour, monuments, manuscripts and other chattels, and if possible to collect and keep everything together as one collection.
