02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The objects of the Society are to promote and encourage the following objects by charitable means but not otherwise (a) To stimulate public interest in, and care for, the history, beauty and character of the District of Kyle and Carrick. (b) To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic interest. (c) To encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in the district of Kyle and Carrick. (d) To pursue these ends by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publications, conferences and publicity and the promotion of schemes of a charitable nature.
