02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Trust was established as a way of directing the profits from annual productions of the club to a variety of good works but in 2004 the club was wound up when the shows stopped but the Trust continued. The Trust currently have a policy of supporting charities in the West of Scotland including young singers and musicians at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and other small charities where a small donation can make a difference to their projects.

To receive from the Savoy Club, Glasgow, or from any other source whatsoever, funds which shall, subject to the terms of article Third hereof, be held and managed by the Trustees as capital and the free income therefrom after deduction of reasonable expenses of the management and administration of these funds applied to charitable purposes, the application of the said free income being in the absolute and uncontrolled discretion of the Trustees.
