To promote the social welfare of the community resident in the Cleghorn and Havenstruther district without distinction of race, religion or political or other opinions by:- (a) Providing or encouraging the provision of facilities for recreation or leisure time occupation, including facilities for meetings, lectures and classes with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said residents. (b) Stimulating an active interest in the recreational or leisure time use of such facilities.
