What the charity exists to do

The Western Isles Citizens Advice Service is a local, independent charity which provides free, impartial and confidential advice and information to give you the tools you need to sort out any issues or problems.

Constitutional objectives

For the purpose of benefitting the community within the Western Isles. (a) By advancing the education of the public in matters relating to mental, physical and social welfare. (b) by relieving poverty. In furtherance of the foregoing purposes but not farther or otherwise the Area Committees may: (a) Promote and support centres for the supply of information in Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra providing advice and such practical assistance as is requested by members of the community who consult the centres where available and appropriate.
