02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Trust is set up to award and administer a scholarship exchange between the University of St Andrews in Scotland and Emory University in Atlanta GA. The Trust has delegated responsibility for the administration to the University of St Andrews who advertise, select scholars and arrange travel, payments and accommodation.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the whole Fund shall be (a) to award Scholarships to undergraduates or graduates of British Nationality of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland to enable them to continue their studies at Emory University aforesaid. (b) to award Scholarships to alumni of American nationality of Emory University aforesaid to enable them to continue their studies at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. and (c) to erect and maintain a residence or other building at the University of St.Andrews to be known as 'JonesHouse', such residence to give preference to those awarded the said Scholarship if they apply to reside there.
