02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Trustees meet twice a year (November and December) to discuss distributing funds generated by the Trust equally with one half share going to churches/Ministers in Arbroath & Carnoustie and the other half going to students studying in Scotland to become Ministers or Missionaries.

Constitutional objectives
With regard to the whole Free Residue and Remainder of my said Estate and Effects heritable and moveable and real and personal, above conveyed , and whole prices and proceeds thereof, after implementing and fulfilling the whole previous provisions and purposes, I Direct and Appoint the same to be divided, paid, applied, and disposed of in the following manner, videlicet To pay or assign and convey, in favour of the members of the said Free Church Presbytery of Arbroath, for the time being, to be held by them and their successors in office for behoof of all the congregations presently within the bounds of the said Free Church of Presbytery, that is to say the Free Church Congregation For and towards the better supplementing the stipends of the ministers of the said congregations.
