02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Corbenic is a registered Care Home and Day Service. But, it is a care home and day service like no other where adults with learning disabilities get to experience a variety of life opportunities, and are supported to live life to the fullest. This is what is at the heart of the unique and very special place that is Corbenic.

Constitutional objectives
2.1 To provide the highest quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities, based on the principles of dignity and respect, compassion, inclusion, wellbeing and responsiveness to individual need through residential and day service provision and in both areas of service to provide for residents and attendees to be part of a community where all are treated fairly, equally, listened to, empowered, and where diversity is celebrated. 2.2 To afford choice and opportunities for residents and attendees to participate in and experience a rich cultural and spiritual life based upon the traditions and rhythms of the Camphill movement 2.3 To provide opportunities for residents and attendees of the Corbenic Camphill Community to learn and develop through participation in meaningful activities that promote independence and contribute to the life of the community through work, creativity and leisure. 2.4 To value the environment, treating the land and the physical environment with respect and care.
