02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide high quality childcare and education for children from 2.5-5yrs old. We provide this for children mainly in their ante-preschool year, in the same school year peer group, so provide care for children who are eligible for 3 year old preschool funding as well as those before they are eligible. To do this we provide a term time service with well trained staff and quality extensive equipment. We keep our fees for children who are not eligible for a funded place as low as possible and have a hardship policy so we can be affordable to all. Our committee comprises of parents of current children and we invite all parents to come to committee meetings so they can be involved in their children's care and education. We also organise fundraisers that are open to the local community to encourage community involvement.

Constitutional objectives
The aim of Wormit Playgroup is to advance the education and social development of pre-school children with the emphasis on the play experience, so that they take a constructive place in the community and also to advance the education of their parents and other appropriate persons.
