02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Adamson Trust provides grants towards funding holidays, or respite breaks, for children aged 2-17 years of age with continuing physical health problems or learning disabilities. Applications may be made by individual families or by organisations such as schools, social work departments or hospital services. The application forms are on the Adamson Trust website which also provides details of how to apply. Applications are invited by post or email and are initially sent to the Trust Administrator. The trustees then meet quarterly to review the applications received and award grants where the application is successful. The Administrator contacts the families or organisations with the trustees decision.
