02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide a safe, stimulating and enjoyable pre-school experience for children aged between two and five years old, for Bieldside, Cults and the surrounding areas of Aberdeen. We follow the ‘Pre-Birth to Three’ framework along with the ‘National Curriculum for Excellence’, offering a wide range of inspirational, age and stage appropriate experiences and resources. In side our spacious hall, we have an arts and crafts area with easels, a book corner, home corner, physical area, puzzle table, sensory tray, construction and loose parts play area not to mention dress up and musical instruments. The children enjoy free flow play and we follow their interests and needs.

Constitutional objectives
The aim of the Playgroup is to promote the aim of the Scottish Pre-School Playgroups Association, which is to advance the education of pre-school children, so that they may take a constructive place in the community, and also the education of their parents, and in furtehrance of that aim, (a) to provide safe and satisfying group play in which parents take part when appropriate. (b) to encourage other charitable activities through which parents may help the children.
