Constitutional objectives

(1)To relieve distress by the provision of improved capacity and facility to identify the extent and nature of diseases suffered by those citizens served by Grampian Health Board Hospitals. (2)To advance education and research by the creation of areas of expertise and repute and to facilitate and promote research in Diagnostic Radiology with a view to the results of such research being published in medical literature. (3) To facilitate and promote under-graduate and post-graduate teaching in the department. (4)To provide for an increase and improvement in Radiological services to the patients of the Grampian Health Board area. (5)To administer the trust fund for the benefit, establishment and operation of an academic department in Diagnostic Radiology in the University of Aberdeen. (6)To make financial provision for the payment of salaries of such employees of the Department as the Trustees may determine. (7)Any other purpose which would enhance and develop the work of the Department as may be approved by the Trustees.
