02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The objectives of the Diocese are to support and promote the mission and ministry of the Scottish Episcopal Church in the historical area of the Diocese of Brechin, covering the City of Dundee, Carse of Gowrie, most of Angus, the Mearns and southern Aberdeenshire. This is achieved by the provision of spiritual, clerical and financial support to the Scottish Episcopal Charges throughout the Diocese, the administering of Provincial grants, encouraging and supporting mission work and the development of training for ordained and lay leaders
