02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our charity is set up to improve the lives of people affected by dementia by funding and championing practical, innovative work that makes a real difference. We do this as a grant-making charity, supporting projects, organisations and ideas that help people live well with dementia, strengthen communities, and improve understanding of the condition. We focus on backing initiatives that can create meaningful impact, whether through reducing isolation, enabling better support, encouraging inclusion, or testing new approaches that could be replicated more widely. Alongside our funding, we use our voice, networks and partnerships to raise awareness, share learning, and encourage collaboration across sectors. In simple terms, we exist to help turn good ideas into tangible impact for people living with dementia, their families and carers.
