02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Fallin Miners Welfare is currently used by many local clubs and community groups that include monthly Fallin Community Voice Bingo on the last Friday of every month, weekly cultural band practices in our small hall, and have previously accommodated our local toddler group and the Swinging 60s group run by local community champion. Each year, we organise a Community Games Day, giving people the opportunity to try sports they may not otherwise have access to. Each year we host the Fallin Community Voice fundraising days which raise essential funds to host the kids summer fun day etc. Throughout the year, we also host numerous fundraising events free of charge and actively support charitable causes by selling football cards, bonus balls and raffle tickets to raise additional funds. Charities we regularly support include Strathcarron Hospice, Stirling Food Train, Start Up Stirling, and Forthbank Care Home.
