02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The object of the Association is to help girls and young women in the Forth Valley area to develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world according to the principles of the Guide Association and to facilitate Guiding for girls and young women in the area. Guiding is girl led, fully inclusive and encourages diversity. The aim of the Association is to provide opportunities for girls and young women to grow and develop in a safe and secure environment. to contribute to the local community. to acquire leadership skills and undertake teamwork. to be challenged by new experiences. to make decisions and think for themselves. to acquire self-respect and self-confidence, and to have sufficient volunteers to enable every girl and woman in our area to have the opportunity to join Girlguiding Forth Valley.
