02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To hold an annual agricultural show for farmers to exhibit their livestock and for the public to engage with agriculture, We have classes for poultry, livestock, home baking & crafts, dogs, clydesdale horses and light horses and have trophies and prize money for the winners. To help promote local children's groups, such as a musical theatre group, a choir, highland dancers and a martial arts group, we invite them to do a short performance on our 'stage' for fellow show-goers. We have trade stands, a craft tent, a farmer's market, a children's entertainer, a highland games display to name a few attractions. We aim to provide a family fun day out incorporating agriculture into this. H
