02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide a network of sustainable support services and opportunities, to enable people with mental health issues to maximise their potential within the community of Inverclyde. Strategies employed include, delivering a diverse range of support services to adults with mental health problems that enhance their recovery and well-being. offer therapeutic, training and volunteering opportunities to people with enduring mental health problems. provide work experience to long term unemployed people. facilitate local nursery and primary school learning at our plant nursery. provide work placement opportunities to local secondary school pupils. and facilitate student nurse training.

Constitutional objectives
7.1 To relieve the needs of people, in particular those resident in the Operating Area, who are experiencing problems with their mental health, whether it be through illness, social exclusion or health inequalities, through the provision of services including (but not exclusively) residential care, housing support, employment and training opportunities. 7.2 To advance education, through raising awareness and increasing public knowledge relating to mental health and mental illness, particularly among the residents of the Operating Area. and 7.3 To provide support to families and carers of those affected by or recovering from mental illness.
