02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Stormontfield Community Hall plays a central role in the life of the community. Being the only public space in the village, it plays a crucial part in the social life of the residents. Stormontfield Community Association was set up to organise and run events for the benefit of all. This includes the like of talks, live music events, coffee mornings, curry nights etc. Indoor bowls are held fortnightly throughout the winter and darts and pool table are available

Constitutional objectives

The objects of the association shall be: a) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Stormontfield and environs without distinction of Political, religious or other opinions, by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and inhabitants in common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. b) to secure the establishment of a Community with the local Statutory Authority in the maintenance and management of the centre.
