Constitutional objectives

5.1 The advancement of education through promoting opportunities for learning, personal development and exchange of information using a range of participatory methods to help people with mental health concerns ? develop social skills and knowledge ? engage in regular service user meetings ? be enabled and empowered to take up volunteer opportunities within the organisation 5.2 The advancement of health and wellbeing by the provision of supportive and preventative user-led community services and activities for people in North Edinburgh who have mental health concerns (and the rest of Edinburgh where resources are available) designed to ? build confidence and self-esteem ? help people to learn new ways of dealing with stress ? unlock people's creativity ? empower people to work together to combat the stigma of mental health difficulties and to gain from mutual support 5.3 The advancement of citizenship by promoting social networks and inclusion in local communities, by alleviating social isolation through facilitating people to come together and by including service users/members in the planning and running of the organisation by using a community development approach so that the content and delivery of all our services is led by and responsive to our service users' needs and empowering people to work together to combat the stigma of mental health difficulties and to gain from mutual support and to enable and empower service users to serve on the Board of Directors and Sub Committees and other working groups
