The purpose of the Trust is the preservation, upkeep and maintenance of Yester Chapel, Gifford, East Lothian and the family vault of the Tweeddale Family, being an ancient monument: in terms of the Historic Buildings and Ancient Monuments Act 1953 and for which a grant has been obtained from Historic Buildings and Monuments Scotland.
