02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are a parent and family support group that helps families with children with additional support needs. We provide a weekly support group with sessions operating ever Thursday during term time and every Tuesday, Thursday in school holidays. We give parents a chance to let off steam each week with other parents in similar situations.

Constitutional objectives
(a) To provide and promote access to Benefits advice and advocacy for families of children with Special Needs. (b) To provide and promote access to health, social work, educational and voluntary services for the families of children with Special Needs. (c) To encourage mutual support, to help alleviate the isolation felt by families of children with Special Needs and to link them to others in the same situation. (d) To allow access to training on topics which will encourage parents in their skills in dealing with the Special Needs Child, and also training to allow them to cope with their special circumstances. (e) To provide and promote an integrated play environment of Special Needs Children and their siblings. (f) To liaise with appropriate bodies for the furtherance of the above objects. (g) To do all other lawful things as are necessary for the attainment of the objects without bias to race, religion, sex or politics.
