02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Formed in December 1990 by the Carers of people with dementia we are a not for profit, registered charity, run by a voluntary management committee. We provide high-quality personalised care for people with dementia, and support for carers. We do this through daycare, trips and outings, and our Memory Cafe. We also provide information, advice and training to the general public and other organisations.

Constitutional objectives
The Charity's objects (the Objects) are the advancement of education, the furtherance of health, the provision of recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities and the relief of those in need by reason of ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage among the inhabitants of East Kilbride District and the surrounding area, especially those who suffer from dementia type illness and their carers.
