What the charity exists to do
Purchased in the interest and for the benefit of the Community in November 1945 provided by Sir James Caird. To provide facilities for the people of Dundee.

Constitutional objectives
For the purpose of providing housing accommodation for the inhabitants of the City and removing the overcrowding which prevails in parts of the City are limited in extent and it is necessary to provide for the erection of houses on lands out with the existing boundaries of the City for the accommodation of persons employed therein.
