02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Carers of West Lothian works collaboratively to provide support, information, advice and representation, to help unpaid carers, young carers and disabled people in West Lothian to achieve positive outcomes. Our vision is to ensure that people in West Lothian are supported and empowered to live a better life. We achieve this by providing bespoke 1-1 support, group peer support, training, counselling and wellbeing sessions and sharing appropriate information and advice.

Constitutional objectives
The Company shall operate for the public benefit to promote the benefit of carers and individuals with disabilities of West Lothian and its environs without distinction of any protected characteristics. In pursuit of the same, the Company shall associate with statutory authorities, third and private sector organisations, and citizens in a common effort to advance the education, further the health and relieve the poverty and distress of such carers and individuals with disabilities
