02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are an Amateur Dramatic Company set up as a charity to provide members interested in all aspects of amateur dramatics to advance and nurture their talents. We take part in the Scottish Community Drama Association's annual One Act Play Festival to encourage our members to advance their acting skills in competition with other similar groups. They get professional feedback from Adjudicators which can aid in their approach to acting. We stage a Summer Production and our annual Pantomime to entertain the local community and these are always well received. We also encourage our members to further their talents by providing bursaries for courses in any aspect of performing arts that they wish to do. We use monies received to purchase equipment to enhance our productions and to pay for costs incurred in these productions. The Committee/Trustees meet regularly to run the charity.
