02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Working in partnership with the local authority, KASC provides a quality and affordable wraparound childcare service for primary school aged children in the Kinross area. Our volunteer committee oversees and supports our dedicated staff team as they deliver the service based in the local Primary School. We are regulated by the Care Inspectorate and all staff are registered with the SSSC & members of the PVG scheme. KASC is funded via session fees and additional funding opportunities as identified. KASC is open each term time school day for both Breakfast Club and After School Club sessions. We currently offer 600+ placements across the school week and work with 110+ local families. Sessions are booked on both a long-term and ad-hoc basis. Our team offers a child-led service, offering both a planned schedule of activities and responding to the requests of the children we support throughout each session. Each child is supported by a key worker on both a group and individual basis.
