Loch Lomond Rescue Boat Management Committee

Constitutional objectives

1. To encorage, promote and teach all aspects of safety in and around the waters of Loch Lomond ('the Loch') including but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing the safety of those persons using boats, canoes, windsurfers, jetskies and other vessels on the Loch 2. To provide a rescue boat or rescue boats and rescue services in order to assist in the rescue wherever possible (which shall be determined exclusively by the Coxswain for the time being of any rescue boat operated by the Committee, whom failing the senior Coxswain present, according to the prevailing weather and operational conditions) of persons and property in distress, danger or discomfort in and around the Loch 3. To assist by any means whatsoever and wherever possible (which shall be determined exclusively by the Coxswain for the time being of any rescue boat operated by the Committee, whom failing the senior Coxswain present, according to the prevailing weather and operational conditions) other persons concerned for the safety of those using the waters of the Loch including but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing the Police and Fire Service who may be called upon in an emergency or in order to enforce bye-laws or other regulations relating to the Loch.
