02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Dynamic Earth is Edinburgh’s Science Centre & Planetarium. In the face of a climate and ecological crisis, we empower people with an understanding of the Earth and its future. We do this by providing compelling engagement at our science centre in Edinburgh and leaning programme across Scotland. We are driven by a positive belief: people of all ages and backgrounds can be the problem-solvers of the future.

Constitutional objectives
The Company is established for charitable objects and purposes only and in particular to advance the education of the general public, and in particular the inhabitants of Scotland, by promoting awareness and understanding of the dynamic properties, behaviour and characteristics of the planet Earth through the establishment and operation of a permanent exhibition and education centre, collaborating with other educational bodies and outreach activities.
