02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity holds 10 monthly meetings a year with speakers on topics covering historical local information. The intention is to educate and entertain the members with information about the historical village and our immediate local area and its history. The charity holds relevant historical artifacts donated by past and present members in a portacabin and these are displayed as approprate. The charity holds a Scots Night per year, a summer BBQ and a coffee morning per year to help raise funds to cover costs.

Constitutional objectives
The objectives of the Society are to promote the advancement of knowledge and education by the study of local history in the Parish of Dunning.
