02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our mission is to support children, young people and families to become more resilient, safe and better equipped to reach their full potential. We do this through one-to-one and group-based befriending, mentoring and whole family support across Lanarkshire and beyond. Every day, we work alongside children, young people and families facing some of life's most difficult challenges. Through consistent, trusted relationships and support tailored to individual needs, we empower people to improve their wellbeing, strengthen social connections, build confidence, enhance financial stability and broaden horizons through engagement with education, training, volunteering and employment. COVEY's distinctive strength is our whole-family, relationship-based approach: bringing together professional support, trusted volunteers and financial wellbeing expertise to help families overcome challenges, build resilience and create lasting positive change.
