02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Waterside & Moscow Community Association, (WMCA) works hard to bring all people across both villages and outlying dwellings together through organising social events and community-benefit activities. Some examples of these but not exclusive to are. litter-picks, summer BBQ, seasonal celebrations and projects which maintain or improve local amenities. We carry the aim of encouraging a supportive community spirit and a sense of belonging. Promotion is actioned via email, newsletters, word of mouth and social media. While participants are given an opportunity to donate funds to support community activities, the Association actively tries to foster inclusivity by asking no or little charge for its events. The Waterside and Moscow Community Association is run entirely by local volunteers and always welcomes suggestions for future events. We actively seek funding to allow us to continue our mission.
