02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We gIve grants for post graduate students on the basis of needs. We invite applications and then the Trustees meet to determine those most in needs. In addition we have partnerships with some universities who specifically identify care experienced students who are in need of assistance with their post graduate students. We also invite applications from organisations who wish to undertake projects to help those who are disadvantaged to enable them to progress and develop their potential in various ways. We invite applications twice in each year and we consider those projects which enable the Trust to realise their objectives as far as possible.

Constitutional objectives
The purposes of the trust are 1 - The relief of poverty 2 - the advancement of education 3. General public utility. the objects of the trust being ( for purposes of 1 and 2 above ) the awarding of cash grants or loans or advances to those indviduals or their representatives whose predicament is indviduals being under the age of 30 and resident in Scotland and in need of financial assistance in the advancement of their eduction at the time of the Trustees assessment and (for the purpose of 3 above) the awarding of cash grants or loans or advances to indviduals groups of indviduals or organisatons for the relief of poverty or the imrovement of amenities or public recreation and to do all things as will properly attain the above purposes.
