02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Scoosh is set up to provide flexible and affordable childcare. We provide wraparound care throughout the calendar yea to support families and also deliver day care during school holiday periods. We offer a range of different activities to meet the individual needs of our service users.

Constitutional objectives
This clause shall be interpreted as if it incorporates an over-riding qualification limiting the powers of SCOOSH such that any activity which would otherwise be permitted by the terms of this constitution may be carried on only if that activity furthers a purpose which is regarded as charitable. Subject to the overriding qualification, SCOOSH's principal purposes are to:- 5.1 provide flexible and reliable childcare after school hours, during holidays and other times when the schools may be closed. 5.2 provide a safe child-centred environment for all children to play and enjoy out with school hours for children whose parent, guardian or carer is working or in further/higher education but not restricted to these groups. 5.3 widen childrens' horizons through stimulated play activities. and 5.4 help parents, guardians and carers achieve access to better paid employment and enable low income families to boost their standard of living.
