OSCR note: This SCIO was incorporated on the 02 October 2012 as a result of a Change to SCIO application by Whalsay History Group SC021645 which was an unincorporated associatiuon registered as a charity since 21 June 1993

02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To stimulate public interest in the heritage and traditions of Whalsay within the context of Shetland as a whole. this is carried out during the summer months by opening the premises from 2 to 5 from Wed through to Sat from May to Oct and throughout the winter meeting weekly to discuss the next years display and program of events The local school is also invited to participate so as to stimulate interest with the younger generations.

Constitutional objectives
