What the charity exists to do
The Ensemble’s main activity is to provide its members the chance to perform together in concerts under the direction and tutelage of professional musicians to enhance the members’ musical ability. Activities include: auditions, rehearsals, publicity, post-rehearsal socials, and concert organisation and management.

Constitutional objectives
The object of the Ensemble shall be to advance public education in and appreciation of the art and science of orchestral music in all its aspects by. maintenance, support, development of orchestral performance at the highest level under professional guidance and by such format as the Ensemble shall determine.
