02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Cantraybridge is a student-centred organisation recognised by our stakeholders as delivering best practice in providing services to young people. We deliver personal development, education, and social care services enabling disadvantaged young people with disabilities to achieve their potential. We provide: • A specialist Charity run College focusing on vulnerable, excluded or disadvantaged young people with disabilities in the 16-30 age group. • Provide life skills and vocational skills training, education, social care and housing support. • Are committed to the effective development of our students and staff. Our target is to support our students towards independence and healthy living and to integrate young people into work and community life. Cantraybridge has provided support and training services to young people with learning disabilities and autism for 30 years. During this time, we have developed specialisms in systematic instruction and vocational learning.

Constitutional objectives
The Company's objects are as follows: To advance the education of, promote the welfare of and provide facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare for persons suffering from physical, mental or emotional handicaps or disabilities or having learning difficulties and their families and carers so that their conditions of life may be improved.
