02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

1. To further the interests of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces. 2. To organise functions and activities to enable members to continue associations formed during their service. 3. To perform welfare and benevolent work for members of the Regiment or Airborne Forces in need or distress, from its own funds or in conjunction with the Airborne Forces Security Fund or similar charity. 4. To assist corporate bodies, or similar objectives, associated with the Regiment or Airborne Forces. 5. To do such further acts in the furtherance of the objectives so far as these are legally charitable

Constitutional objectives

1a The Glasgow and West of Scotland Branch of the Parachute Regimental Association exists for the purpose of furthering the interests of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces and to organize functions and activities to enable Members to continue associations formed during their service with the Regiment and to perform welfare and benevolent work for members of the Regiment in need or distress, either from its own funds or in conjunction with the Airborne Forces Security Fund or any similar charity. to assist in every way any corporate bodies associated with the Parachute Regiment whose objectives would further the objects of the branch. and such other acts in the furtherance of the objects so far as the same are legally charitable. 1b. In addition any support will only be given to registered charities for the purpose of advancing community development and citizenship
