02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are an arts organisation and venue in Aberdeenshire. We collaborate and co-create with artists, makers and audiences to develop arts experiences which grow environmental awareness, cultivate action and create the conditions to explore alternative ways of learning and living on earth. We have a varied programme of events and projects that connect multiple communities, encourage different notions of care, and create shared experiences.

Constitutional objectives
4 The company’s objects are: 1) To advance the arts with a particular focus on exploring the earth we inhabit and the environment we share with other living organisms. 2) To encourage diversity by nourishing and interconnecting the public (audiences, partners and communities of interest) and their multiple perspectives. 3) To grow the organisation and its public through programmes of education and research. 4) To provide facilities for the practice and performance of the arts. 5) To do such things considered by the directors to be conducive to the above objects. 5 The company’s objects are restricted to those set out in article 4 (but subject to article 6). 6 The company may (subject to first obtaining the consent of OSCR) add to, remove or alter the statement of the company’s objects in article 4. on any occasion when it does so, it must give notice to the registrar of companies and the amendment will not be effective until that notice is registered on the register of companies.
