Constitutional objectives

The Trust was set up for the purpose of providing benefits for the aged persons and the children resident in the village of Elphinstone, and its vicinity. The said Trustees shall apply the yearly income for behoof of (One) the old age pensioners resident in the village of Elphinstone and its vicinity, and that either by making arrangements for a summer excursion and winter party or entertainment or by the provision of suitable gifts or money or by a combination if such ways or by such other ways as the said Trustees may consider most suitable and appropriate and (Two) appropriate instruction, treat, excursion or prizes connected with said Sabbath School as they may consider most suitable.
