02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up to support families with young children who are experiencing difficulties such as isolation, poor mental health, financial hardship or other pressures. We aim to help families cope, build confidence and improve outcomes for children. We do this by recruiting, training and supporting local volunteers who provide practical and emotional support to families, mainly in their own homes or within the community. Support is tailored to each family’s needs and may include listening support, help with routines, parenting confidence, and signposting to other services. Our work helps reduce stress in families, strengthens parenting capacity and promotes the wellbeing and development of children
