Constitutional objectives
The aims and objectives of the Mount Vernon Community Hall are: (a) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the local community and its environs irrespective of race, religion, politics or age, by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, to promote good citizenship and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants, and (b) To secure the establishment of a community centre and to cooperate with Glasgow District Council in the maintenance and management of the centre for activities promoted by the centre in furtherance of the above aims and objectives or any of them.
