02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our charity exists for the relief of those in need by reason of age, illness or disability by providing electric scooters, manual wheel chairs to help with access to shops, social activities, appointments or any other reason in the city of Inverness or town of Dingwall. We also operate a fully accessible mini-bus service that provides a door to door service from home to shops and back. We provide volunteer escorts to support people with mobility and disability issues to shop. This is all with a view to reducing barriers of social isolation and loneliness thereby enhancing their overall well-being. During the Summer months we attend local outdoor Shows and events providing our equipment enabling those who would otherwise not be able to attend, to do so.
