02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To manage the local village hall by providing facilities for local organisations such as the primary school, yoga, scottish country dancing and highland dancing, yoga, art class, keep fit classes, local musicians and community organisations for meetings, local residents parties and celebrations and the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants of Balnain and GlenUrquhart.

Constitutional objectives

The said subjects and the building erected or to be erected thereon (hereinafter referred to as 'the Trust subjects') are dedicated and shall be held by us and our successors as Trustees in all time coming for the purposes of a Community Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Village of Balnain and environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including the use for meetings, lectures, classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
