02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are an independent charity operating since 1994 in the Orkney Islands, providing specialist support for adults, children, couples and families affected by relationship difficulties, family breakdown and associated challenges.
Charitable purposes

- the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage

Constitutional objectives
To relieve the needs and promote the welfare of individuals, families and children affected by relationship difficulties by providing support services, principally family mediation, child contact centres and confidential counselling services, and to develop other appropriate services to meet the changing needs of those disadvantaged by such difficulties.
