02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We manage the use of the village hall encouraging use by all community groups and individuals for a variety of purposes e.g. sports, youth activities and adult fitness and leisure activities. We also maintain the hall and raise funds through to meet the ongoing running costs.

Constitutional objectives

(a) To promote the benefit of the residents of the Kiltarlity Catchment area and environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for the recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of li fe and to foster a community spirit for the said inhabitants (b) To secure the establishment, maintenance and management of a Centre or Centres for activities promoted by the Association in furtherance of the the above objects or any of them and, without prejudice to the foregoing generality, under the direction of the Office Bearers and Management Committee as hereinafter referred to for the time being, to administer, maintain, renew, and if appropriate, to extend or rebuild the public hall at Kiltarlity
