02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide coaching for our Associate Members to help them to sit for and pass the Advanced Riding/Driving Test. We also provide educational input for our Full Members and publicise the work of IAM Roadsmart throughout our area.

Constitutional objectives
To promote the objects for which the IAM was formed, namely, to improve the standard of driving and for the advancement of road safety. To encourage and assist motorists to become Members of the IAM. To publicise the IAM and its work throughout the area. To provide road safety, social, and competitive events for Members, Associates, Friends, and members of the general public. Driving events on a public road must not be timed.
