02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
give grant awards to individuals and organisations based in Rosyth who have applied for help with to relieve poverty, hardship or disability. help with the cost of educational materials, sporting events, recreational and leisure community events (this is not exhaustive). Grant applications are invited twice a year and the trustees make a decision on each application in accordance with our constitutional regulations. The Trust funds these awards with the income from imvestment fixed term bonds of the Trust's capital.

Constitutional objectives
(a) For the relief of poverty, hardship, sickness, suffering or distress of persons in the Rosyth area (b) For the relief of the needs of persons in the Rosyth area suffering from physical disability, illness or impairment including those with Special Learning needs (c) For the advancement of education of persons in the Rosyth area in particular in relation to physical academic scientific and artistic education (d) For the provision or assistance in the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure in the Rosyth area in the interests of social welfare and improving the conditions of life of persons who need sllch facilities by reason of their age, infirmity, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstancej'without prejudice to such facilities being made available also to members of the public at large (e) Generally for such charitable purposes for the benefit of the public in the Rosyth area as the Trustees shall from time to time consider appropriate and as shall qualify as charitable in terms of the Law of Scotland
